The work will be carried out at the maintenance facilities of Finnair Technical Services at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport in Finland in September 2007.
The contract is a continuation of Finnair Technical Services and Lufthansa Cargo's long term cooperation in the MD-11 airframe maintenance since 1999, and also includes an option for two additional airframe maintenance visits, which would be performed in 2008 and 2009.
Of Finnair Technical Services' 200 million euro turnover, approximately one third comes from maintenance contracts with third-party customers such as Lufthansa Cargo, Aeroflot Cargo, Martinair and KLM-Air France.
