Aug 8, 2007 (newstodate): Latvian carrier, member of the SAS Group, airBaltic is heading towards a booming year in passenger transportation.
The carrier reached its one-million passenger mark in July this year, two months earlier than 2006, and five months earlier than 2005.
airBaltic carried 205,287 passengers in July 2007, or 47 percent more than in the same month in 2006, when airBaltic transported 140,074 passengers.
During the seven months of 2007, airBaltic transported a total of 1,071,662 passengers, up 38 percent, y-o-y.
airBaltic's fleet consists of twenty one aircraft, including 13 Boeing 737500 and eight Fokker 50 aircraft.
