Aug 15, 2007 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic will move closer to its home market by the opening of a series of new offices in the country.
Offices will be opened in Liepaja, Ventspils, Daugavpils, Jelgava, and Valmiera.
A new sales point and a consultation office will also be opened in Riga, in addition to the existing office in Berga Bazars.
The new offices, in place by the end of this year, are intended to spur Latvians' use of air transportation that is lower than average in other comparable markets.
