Aug 21, 2007 (newstodate): The Serbian carrier JAT reports declining cargo and mail volumes in this year's first seven months.
Cargo volumes dropped six percent, y-o-y, to 1,871 tonnes, while mail volumes were down 22 percent to 302 tonnes.
The decline was even greater on the carrier's European and Mediteranean routes where loads fell nine percent.
JAT is currently poised for privatisation, and the process of selecting a consulting company to help work out tender details is now going on.
