Aug 30, 2007 (newstodate): From September 2, 2007, Emirates SkyCargo will launch a new freighter operation to Hamburg, Germany.
The company will operate a weekly flight on Sundays between Dubai and Hamburg, using an Airbus A310-300F aircraft with 39 tonnes of cargo capacity on the route.
The new flight is driven by the Dubai-based sea-air company S.A.T.
Hamburg Airport expects the new freighter route to add some 4,000 tonnes per year to the airport's flown cargo volumes that reached 33,000 tonnes in 2006, growing by 11.8 percent to 16,000 tonnes during this year's first half.
