Aug 16, 2007 (newstodate): Swedish tour operator Res Nu i Stockholm AB continues its flights between Sweden and Kurdish Iraq, but currently on a changed routing.
The Swedish CAA has suspended direct flights after the alleged missile attack last week on a Nordic Airways MD-83 aircraft bound for Stockholm Arlanda after take-off from Sulimaniyah Airport.
As a temporary solution, the tour operator now operates from Stockholm to "an airport in southern Europe" from where passengers are tranferred to "another airline" that flies the remaining leg to Iraq.
Investigations into the alleged missile attack incident are still in progress, and all direct flights from Sweden to Iraq remain suspended till a conclusion has been reached.
