Aug 2, 2007 (newstodate): Denmark's Billund Airport continues its strong growth in cargo volumes.
In January-July, the airport generated a total of 33,609 tonnes of cargo, up 10.9 percent, y-o-y.
The growth was driven by exports, up 19.1 percent to 18,420 tonnes, while imports were up only 2.3 percent, to 15,189 tonnes.
In July the airport handled 4,882 tonnes, up 14.5 percent, including 2,812 tonnes of exports, up 27.9 tonnes, and 2,070 tonnes of imports, up 0.1 percent.
