Aug 20, 2007 (newstodate): After 15 years of suspension, air traffic between Minsk, Belarusia, and Ashkabad, Turkmenistan, was resumed on August 11.
The flight was performed by a Turkmenistan Airlines Boeing 737-800 and is now a regular scheduled once-weekly service.
The decision to re-open air traffic was a result from an official visit of the Belorussian delegation to Turkmenistan on July 24-27, 2007, and signal more cooperation to develop between the two countrie.
