Jul 25, 2007 (newstodate): The Ukrainean aircraft manufacturer Antonov is planning to launch a new version of its AN-38 aircraft.
The project in cooperation with the Russian company Novosibirskiy Aviation Production Union calls for the twin-engined turbo aircraft AN-38-200 to be developed as a cargo and passenger aircraft designed for operations under rough conditions in less-developed countries.
The manufacturer sees a market for up to 370 units in this segment, and before the launch of the program 11 orders have reportedly been landed.
