Jul 31, 2007 (newstodate): At the symbolic cost of one US dollar, the Turkish TAV has now officially taken over management of Georgia's Batumi Airport for a 20-year period.
With the rights come the obligation to redeem the airport's debts of some USD 800,000.
TAV har already invbested heavily in the airport, completing the construction and inauguration of a new passenger terminal in May.
