Jul 31, 2007 (newstodate): The Russian airline UTAir has contracted Lufthansa Consulting to implement solutions to improve the airline's network planning and revenue management.
Based at Khanty-Mansiysk, UTAir is, together with Aeroflot, Transaero, and S7 Siberian Airlines in the first echelon among Russia's currently 18 leading airlines that account for 88 percent of the country's air traffic, and the carrier is building up a fleet of western aircraft, including up to 20 ATRs, to replace ageing Russian aircraft.
