Jul 25, 2007 (newstodate): The Arkhangelsk Regional Administration is keen to develop its airport to meet international standards.
The main infrastructure priorities in Arkhangelsk Oblast were discussed in a meeting in the Department of Transport, and a project has been designed for building a new international airport at an estimated cost of 350 mio Rubles.
The investments have not, however, been secured yet.
Arkhangelsk is today served by Talagi Airport, built in 1963 and providing flights by Russian airlines Aeroflot-Nord that has its home base at the airport, Samara, and Rossiya.
