Jul 26, 2007 (newstodate): Effective from September 3, SAS plans to increase frequency on the route between Copenhagen and Gdansk, Poland.
Adding the fourth daily return flight will also increase cargo capacity between the two airport, where Copenhagen is by far the single most important destination to and from Gdansk.
During the first six months of this year, SAS lifted a total of 28 tonnes of cargo shipments from Gdansk to Copenhagen, while SAS Cargo's exports from Copenhagen to Gdansk accrued to 142 tonnes.
The bulk of the cargo between the two destinations is, however, lifted by DHL that operates a freighter service on the route.
During the first half year ´07, DHL carried 231 tonnes of cargo from Gdansk to Copenhagen, while imports by DHL into Gdansk were 480 tonnes.
