Jun 25, 2007 (newstodate): The Volga-Dnepr Group has signed a contract with Ilyushin Finance to purchase two TU-204C cargo aircraft.
The TU-204C aircraft are acquired under a 15-year financial lease arrangement and will be operated by AirBridge Cargo Airlines, the Groups scheduled cargo airline, for domestic services from its hubs in Moscow and Krasnoyarsk in the Russian Far East.
The first aircraft is scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2008, with the second freighter joining the AirBridge fleet in the first quarter of 2009.
The Volga-Dnepr Group plans to purchase a total of five TU-204C aircraft by 2010.
By 2010, Volga-Dnepr will also take delivery of two new AN-124-100 freighters, and the company further acquired three more IL-76�D-90VD freighters at the Paris Air Show.
Earlier this year Volga-Cnepr placed orders for five new Boeing 747-8F freighters.
