Jun 20, 2007 (newstodate): Tajikistan's Tajik Air has received its first Boeing aircraft.
The carrier now operates a Boeing 737-200 aircraft, leased from Eastol AviaFZE, and this aircraft will take over some operations from airline's fleet of nine TU-134 aircraft.
In December, 2006, supported by EBRD, Tajik Air contracted Ernst & Young to provide consultancy on the carrier's future operations with western-built aircraft, aiming at a decision between Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 aircraft.
