Jun 8, 2007 (newstodate): Russia's Nizhny Novgorod Strigino Airport, serving the country's fourth largest city, will be upgraded and modernised.
Some 10 mio rubles will be invested in developing the airport's infrastructure, construction of a new passenger terminal, and technical equipment.
The airport serves as a major diversion airport for Moscow, and among the scheduled operators is Lufthansa that operates a route from Frankfurt.
