Jun 6, 2007 (newstodate): The Federal Air Navigation Authority of the Russian Federation and the LFV Group-Swedish Airports and Air Navigation Services have signed a MoU regarding cooperation in introduction of ADS-B in the region.
The cooperation will target a regional implementation of ADS-B including development of a joint plan and cost-benefits analysis to be agreed with the customers such as airlines, airports and other air navigation service providers.
Under the MoU, two joint projects will be performed during the nearest future. One is investigation of efficiency of use of ADS-B on the route between Murmansk and Lulea, and the other is an investigation of efficiency of use of ADS-B for the airspace of Sweden and the near-by Kaliningrad area.
In addition, the two parties will initiate close technical and operational exchanges of information regarding ADS-B implementation in Moscow, Tuymen, Stockholm Arlanda and Kiruna.
