Jun 22, 2007 (newstodate): A new Thai airline under construction is targeting Scandinavia as one of its first markets.
Set up by a group of ex-Thai International staff, Krabi Airlines will include flights to Oslo from its start by the end of the year.
Operations are slated to be launched from early November.
Krabi Airport has recently been granted international status, and Krabi Airlines will become its first operator.
Alongside Oslo, flights to Munich will also be part of the first phase of the build-up.
The new carrier will operate two Boeing 777-200ER aircraft in its first year, increasing to five within five years, and up to 10 by 2013.
