Jun 14, 2007 (newstodate): Air cargo is to remain a SAS Group core business, and SAS Cargo is not expected to be considered for sale.
-Over the next six months the SAS Group will asses the sales options for SAS Ground Services and Spirit Air Cargo Handling Group, and if Spirit is sold it will of course affect SAS Cargo as most staff are employed by this company, says Ulrik Marschall, SAS Cargo communications manager.
-But in any scenario, SAS Cargo's cargo sales business will continue, he says.
With 950 full time employees, Spirit Air Cargo Handling offers air cargo handling at the terminals in Copenhagen and Billund, Denmark, Malmo, Gothenburg and Stockholm in Sweden, Oslo, Stavanger, Bergen, Kristiansand, Trondheim, Bodo and Tromso in Norway.
