Jun 28, 2007 (newstodate): A tender has been opened for construction of a new passenger terminal at south-eastern Poland's Rzeszow-Jasionka Airport.
July 2 has been set as the deadline for handing in letters of interest and verification of qualifications after which the authorities will shortlist five candidates to deliver their bids.
Based on an architectural design already frozen, construction work will then start in spring, 2008.
The airport has a 3,200 m runway and was selected for operating LOT's first twice-weekly Transatlantic route from a regional airport, with the first flight to New York from June 3 this year.
