Jun 12, 2007 (newstodate): Kazakhstan will expand the aircraft fleet of Air Astana.
The country's prime minister has instructed his government to investigate the airline's needs in order to further boost the carrier's capabilities.
According to the current plans, Air Astana will acquire six new aircraft in 2007, and four of these have already been delivered.
Plans are that Air Astana will acquire up to 35 new aircraft before 2015.
The carrier currently operates a fleet comprising five Airbus A320-200, two Airbus A321, two Boeing 737-700, four Boeing 757-200, two Boeing 767-300, and five Fokker 50.
