Jun 14, 2007 (newstodate): The Serb government is planning for a decision on the privatisation model for the state-owned airline JAT and an opening of a tender before the end of this month.
Russia's Aeroflot and Air Indian are known to be among the frontrunners to bid on the Serb carrier, but other, yet unannounced, contenders may emerge during the process.
Anmy succesful bidder will have to invest heavily in new aircraft capacity for JAT that now operates a fleet of 10 ageing Boeing 737-300 and four ATR-72 aircraft.
