Jun 25, 2007 (newstodate): The Finnish provider of electronic solutions for MET measurements and reporting, Vaisala has landed its first order for a new weather radar, placed by an Estonian customer.
The orders include a total of five dual-polarization radars, which carry Sigmet signal processors and application software.
Vaisala's first weather radar customer is the Estonian Meteorological and Hydrological Institute, which has ordered two dual-polarization radars. One of the radars will be located at the Harku weather station in Tallinn, and the other in Surgavere in the Viljandimaa province.
Both radars will be delivered in November 2007.
