Jun 13, 2007 (newstodate): With a few snags remaining, the final launch date of the new Asia Cargo route from Gothenburg to Incheon, South Korea, has still not been settled.
Expectations are that the start-up date will be around mid-July.
The routing of the new route will be Incheon-Vienna-Gothenburg.
The exports from the Far East will be destined for Vienna, and the aircraft then flies empty to Gothenburg to pick up Norwegian exports of fresh salmon to Japan and other destinations.
-The new service will probably have little effect in the Danish or Finnish markets that are better served via trucking routes to our main European hub, says J.S. Kim, Asiana Airlines Branch manager Amsterdam.
Asiana Cargo has designated Air Trade Support as its cargo GSA in Sweden, while ScanPartners serves as Asiana Cargo's GSA in Denmark and Finland.
