May 22, 2007 (newstodate): In March, 2007, Slovenia saw a strong increase in air cargo volumes.
Total volumes were up no less than 170 percent, albeit from a low base, due to an increase in the number of airlines and cargo carriers serving Slovenia's airports, primarily Ljubljana Airport, according to state statistics.
Slovenia generates around 7-8,000 tonnes of airfreight annually, but the volume is boosted by a/o DHL and other integrators in the region.
