May 22, 2007 (newstodate): Russia's first low-cost carrier Sky Express has expanded its aircraft fleet again.
On May 19, the carrier received its sixth Boeing 737-500 aircraft on a five-year lease contract with C.I.T. Group.
By June, 2007, already, the fleet will consist of eight Boeing 737-500 and -300 aircraft.
Now serving six destinations in Russia from its home base at Moscow Vnukovo Airport, Sky Express plans to build its fleet to 18 Boeing 737 aircraft and to obtain about seven percent of Russia's domestic air passengers by the end of this year.
