May 8, 2007 (newstodate): Sweden's airport ground systems equipment group, Safegate International said it has won its first order for nine Safedock advanced visual docking guidance systems (A-VDGS) at Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport. The company began to provide docking systems to the Russian capital's other two airports Vnukovo and Domodevo in 2003 and it now regards Moscow as a " home market". It has a wide range of global airport customers.
In March, the Malmo-based Safegate won an order for more than 100 A-VDGS units from China's Beijing International Airport. Deliveries of the equipment began in April and are due to be completed by September of this year.
The value of the latest order was not disclosed.
