May 9, 2007 (newstodate): The Russian carrier VIM Avia saw strong Q1 growth in cargo volumes.
Total volumes of cargo and mail was up 78.4 percent, or 361 tonnnes, to a total of 821.2 tonnes.
Behind the growth was a strong increase in production and network, boosted by the merger with VIM Avia's subsidiary, Carat, that also brought in additional aircraft to the fleet, in addition to four more Boeing 757-200 aircraft for VIM Avia during the period.
