May 24, 2007 (newstodate): During the first four months, Oslo Gardermoen Airport has seen its total cargo and mail volumes up by nine percent to 32,493 tonnes.
Cargo volumes, however, dipped by five percent to 22,508 tonnes primarily due to a steep drop by 19 percent in international exports, decreasing to 9,904 tonnes.
International cargo imports fared better, increasing 13 percent to 9,500 tonnes.
The mail volumes grew no less than 62 percent, to a total of 9,985 tonnes, contributing significantly to the airport's over-all growth.
