May 16, 2007 (newstodate): The Icelandair Group has signed a LoI to acquire a majority stake in a Czech aviation company.
According to the LoI, the Icelandair Group will take 50 percent of the shares in the Czech private charter airline Travel Service that operates as fleet of 12 Boeing 737-500 and -800 aircraft providing charter flights from Prague and Budapest, Hungary.
In 2008 the Icelandair Group will take the remaining half of the stake in Travel Service, the largest private airline in the Czech Republic.
