May 25, 2007 (newstodate): The Icelandic Avion Aircraft Trading has signed a contract for delivery of eight A330-200F aircraft, increasing its initial commitment by two.
This follows the finalisation of a first leasing arrangement with Icelandair Cargo for four A330-200F aircraft.
-The A330-200F is the ideal complement to our portfolio of bigger cargo airplanes. Its payload characteristics open up new possibilities for our airline customers combined with very attractive operating costs. We have decided to increase our initial order due to the very positive market response, and we are looking forward to doing more business with Airbus, says Hafthor Hafsteinson, Avion Aircraft Trading Executive Chairman.
