May 25, 2007 (newstodate): airBaltic's new Head of cargo joins the company in a period of growth and development.
-Our top priority now is to launch and to introduce a new cargo system called Cargospot from Softair AG, Switzerland, which will improve all processes from the booking to the handling of cargo, says Toms Andersons, airBaltic Head of cargo since early May.
-This will allow us to maintain and to grow our quality at times, when volumes go up by double-digit percentage points every month, he says.
Over the last half year airBaltic has expanded both operations and sales force to respond to expansion of airBaltic's network and rapid cargo growth. Total staff is 10 people now.
Serving with airBaltic during most of the 90'ies, Mr Andersons last served as British Airways Commercial Manager Finland & Baltics, returning to airBaltic as BA stopped its flights to Vilnius and Riga from tthe start of this summer's program.
