From May 7 the carrier will increase its traffic from Riga to Liepaja to two daily flights.
airBaltic opened the route on September 5, 2005, brings domestic flights back to Latvia with four weekly flights.
But in the pipeline are new routes from Liepaja to Copenhagen and Hamburg, currently in the planning stage, and further routes are also being considered.
Liepaja Airport is working on an application for EU structural funds for runway extension and airports infrastructure modernisation during 2007-2013.
