Apr 23, 2007 (newstodate): Kaliningrad-based Russian airline, KD Avia is now ready to implement its hub&spoke system at Khrabrovo Airport.
From June 15 the airline, that has now expended its aircraft fleet to 12 Boeing 737-300 aircraft, will start operations on a number of new routes to and and from Kaliningrad.
International destinations will include Amsterdam, Prague, Milan, Rome, Dusseldorf, Brussels, Budapest, Barcelona, London and Helsinki.
All destinations will be served with daily flights.
The destinations in western Europe will be connected to a number of new Russian and CIS destinations including Samara, Tyumen, Yekaterinburg, Novgorod, Ufa, Omsk, Rostov Volgograd, and Astana.
To support the intensified traffic, the first phase of a new passenger terminal at Kaliningrad is expected become operational from mid-June.
