Apr 20, 2007 (newstodate): According to statistics from Finavia, Finland's CAA, total freight volumes were up 4.1 percent during this year's Q1.
In total the Finnish airports generated 34,564 tonnes of cargo and mail, with cargo volumes, 20,731 tonnes, up 4.3 percent and mail volumes, 3,833 tonnes, up 2.7 tonnes.
During Q1, international air cargo stood at 29,856 tonnes, up 5.1 percent, y-o-y.
After two months of steep growth above eight percent in January and February, the Finnish airfreight volumes lost steam in March, the statistics show.
