Apr 4, 2007 (newstodate): Africa remains a secondary market for export airfreight from the Nordic countries.
Based on figures in a recent airline market analysis, the four Nordic markets - Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland - in 2006 generated a total of 18,349 tonnes of export airfreight destined for Africa.
This accounted for 4.6 percent of the Nordic market's total of 401,284 tonnes of export airfreight in 2006.
During the period 2006-2012 Denmark's African exports will grow by four percent annually from 6,933 in 2006, Sweden's African export will grow by six percent from 7,117 tonnes in 2006, Norway's African export will grow by 4.2 percent from 1,669 tonnes in 2006, and Finland's African export will grow by 5.9 percent from 2,636 tonnes in 2006.
