Mar 27, 2007 (newstodate): The Ukrainean carrier AeroSvit has taken possession of its third Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
With this boost to its longhaul capacity, AeroSvit plans to add Shanghai as a new intercontinental destination, as well as increase frequencies to destinations including Toronto, Peking, Delhi and Bangkok.
AeroSvit now operates 11 Boeing 737 and three Boeing 767-300 aircraft, and is preparing to take in two additional Boeing 737 aircraft.
Last year the carrier decided on a plan to gradually shift to a new generation of long- and medium-range aircraft from 2007, intending to increase its aircraft fleet to 42 by the year 2011.
