Mar 19, 2007 (newstodate): The Slovakian lcc SkyEurope has beaten its own record in flying its latest Boeing 737-700 nonstop from Seattle to Bratislava.
The aircraft flew 9,101 km in 10 hours and 27 minutes without the usual fuel-stop, beating the carrier's own world record of 8,382 km on a Boeing 737-300 delivery flight from Seattle to Prague in January this year.
During 2007, SkyEurope will take delivery of a total of 10 new Boeing 737-700 aircraft to be gradually introduced into service at the carrier's bases in Bratislava, Budapest, Krakow, Prague and Vienna.
SkyEurope has placed orders for 16 Boeing 737-700 aircraft, with purchase rights for an additional 16 aircraft.
