Mar 30, 2007 (newstodate): In line with over-all corporate strategy, Singapore Airlines Cargo is adjusting its sales setup in the Nordic region.
The strategy comprises a decision to close down all sales organization in off-line markets.
In consequence, SIA Cargo's sales in the Swedish market will be entrusted to a GSA, while the office will be closed down from this summer.
-We have opened a tender to allow Swedish GSAs to bid on the business, and no decision has yet been made, says Kim Irmov, Singapore Airlines Cargo regional manager Nordic and Baltic region.
-As Copenhagen is SIA Cargo's mini-hub for the Nordic and Baltic region our sales office in Denmark will remain unaffected, and in the cargo sales are already provided by GSAs, says Mr Irmov.
In Norway and Finland the carrier's GSA is Airline Services, while AirProxy serves as GSA in Estonia, airBaltic in Latvia, and Litcargus in the Lithuanian market.
