Mar 13, 2007 (newstodate): On January 19, 2007, Lodz Wladyslaw Reymont Airport's extended runway was declared operational.
As part of the ongoing airport expansion and modernisation project, the runway has been extended by 400 m to a total of 2,500 m, allowing it to handle larger aircraft including Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft.
Also comprised by the current project is a new apron, aircraft parking stands, and a third passenger terminal.
