Mar 27, 2007 (newstodate): Poland's export airfreight market will grow by 5.1 percent annually during the period 2006-2012, according to a market analysis prepared for Lufthansa Cargo.
In 2006, Poland's total volumes of export air cargo was 36,000 tonnes, and this will grow to about 38,000 in 2007 and to about 48,500 in 2012, the study says.
Airfreight to Europe, 19,196 tonnes in 2006, will remain the largest part, growing by 4.5 percent annually and reaching 25,000 tonnes in 2012.
But North Atlantic airfreight will grow faster by 5.3 percent, constituting 12,000 tonnes in 2006 and reaching some 16,500 tonnes in 2012.
Also airfreight to the Far East will grow fast by 7.2 percent annually, from 3,000 tonnes in 2006 til some 4,500 tonnes by the end of the period.
