Since November, 2006, JAT had a codeshare with Emirates flying from Hamburg to New York, but this will end with this summer's schedule as Emirates' own loads out of Hamburg will fill the Boeing 777.
To serve the route, JAT has operated a flight between Belgrade and Hamburg, now also to be closed down.
As Serbia remains listed by US FAA as a Category 2 country, JAT remains barred from opening the route Belgrade-New York itself.
