Mar 28, 2007 (newstodate): Georgia has again pressed for negotiations with Russia over resumption of air services between the two countries.
Air services have remained abrogated since October 3, 2006, when the Russian side closed down the traffic due to Georgia's alleged debt from unpaid air navigation charges.
Georgia has now asked for a second round of negotiations to reopen the air traffic that is now provided to passengers and cargo via indirect and time-consuming routings through third countries only.
