Mar 15, 2007 (newstodate): If the ongoing talks with Qatar Airways ends succesfully, Airbus may face a strong boost to its ailing A350 program.
The carrier has earlier proclaimed its intention to acquire 60 A350 aircraft, but vacillated as problems with the program surfaced.
The carrier is now in talks over taking up to 80 of the updated A350XWB, sources claim, and with the recent order for 11 A350XWB from Finnair, the program would regain solid ground, with EIS by 2013.
