Mar 30, 2007 (newstodate): Finnair has now officially confirmed that it is assessing the future of its ground handling activities at Helsinki, Stockholm and Oslo, with a decision within the 2nd quarter of this year.
-As a part of the Groups restructuring and improvement of profitability, Finnair will continue to assess the restructuring of its ground handling operations as well as its wholly-owned ground handling company Northporth Oy and its subsidiaries as stated in October 2006, the company says in a statement.
-Thus far the assessments have led to the transfer of domestic airport ground handling operations to RTG Group as of April 1, 2007, in the manner made public last week, the statement reads.
