Mar 26, 2007 (newstodate): Finlands export air cargo market is expected to grow by 5.2 percent annually during the period 2006-2012, according to a market analysis prepared for Lufthansa Cargo.
Set to be 77,687 tonnes in 2006, the Finnish air cargo volumes will grow to around 81,500 tonnes this year, and to some 105,500 tonnes by the end of the period.
According to the analysis, Europe including Germany is still the country's largest export air cargo market with a total of 24,875 tonnes in 2006, but it will grow only modestly by 3.8 percent per year during 2006-2012.
Growing at an annual rate of 6.3 percent is the Asia/Pacific market that accrued to 20,963 tonnes in 2006, and is expected to grow to some 22,000 tonnes in 2007, and to about 30,000 tonnes in 2012.
Also set to growth is the North Atlantic market, up 5.4 percent anually from 19.358 tonnes in 2006, to about 20,500 tonnes this year, and to 26,500 tonnes in 2012.
