Mar 21, 2007 (newstodate): In 2006 Denmark's export airfreight volumes on IATA carriers remained almost stagnant, down 1.1 percent, y-o-y.
In total IATA carriers lifted 66,625 tonnes of cargo and mail out of Denmark, according to CASS statistics.
Topping the list, and increasing by 3.3 percent to 19,318 tonnes, was North America, followed by exports to China, up 2.6 percent to 7,750, and to the Middle East, up 15.5 percent to 5,837 tonnes.
The three markets accounted for 29, 11.6 and 8.8 percent, respectively, of the total volumes.
The largest decrease in volumes, compared to 2005, was in the Danish IATA exports to Korea that dropped by 23.1 percent to 2,337 tonnes mainly due to Korean Air Cargo's decision in August 2006 to move two out of five weekly freighter flights from Copenhagen to Stockholm.
