Mar 20, 2007 (newstodate): The Ukrainean Cherkasy Airport in central Ukraine is expecting to be allowed to accept air traffic again soon.
The airport has been decommissioned for more than 10 years, but provincial and urban authorities have invested in a certification process that is due to be completed by the end of this month.
The airport will focus especially on air cargo traffic and claims to be in contact with several interested parties, including foreign airlines.
