The carrier's fleet modernisatoin strategy aims at introducing more western aircraft to achieve more cost-efficient operations, and reduce the number of different aircraft types in the fleet.
The carrier currently operates two Boeing 737-500 aircraft and will add three CRJ-100LR aircraft in 2007.
The first CRJ-100LR was received in February, and the second will arrive this month.
With the new aircraft, Belavia intends to launch scheduled operations to Berlin, Prague, Baku and Saint Petersburg during 2007.
