Mar 12, 2007 (newstodate): State-owned Romanian crrier Romavia has signed a lease contract with BAE Systems Regional Aircraft for another BAe 146-200 aircraft.
Besides offering chartered and scheduled passenger flights to European destinations, the airline also operates state and governmental flights for the Romanian Presidency and Government.
The Romavia fleet currently consists of two BAC One-Eleven 500 and one Boeing 707, as well as one BAe 146, the lease agreement of which has also been extended by "several years".
The decision to lease the second aircraft will allow the scheduled charter programme to be re-instated from April 2007.
